1% For the planet was created by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard to help business be a force for good. It's 1% of turnover, because it's too easy to greenwash if you pledge a % of profit, even if it looks higher.
Detrash will always give more than 1%, but the 1% pledge keeps us honest. They audit us to make sure we give the funds and they audit the charities to make sure the funds go to good use.

just received my midnight blue and am pleasantly impressed of the quality of this watch, I am trying to convince my son to procure one before they are all sold out which i believe will be very quickly
the only downside is the strap could be slightly longer but other than that its great, might end up treating myself to another one

It’s a limited edition watch with only about 100 pieces being made so was expecting my release number to be under 100 so that was a bit of a bummer but it’s a very minor thing.
Only another 26 left so would recommend grab it while it lasts!
I've had my Gotham Vigilante for a couple of months now and have been biding my time for a review. Decided to write this review whilst on holiday. The 100m water resistance makes this a great travel piece. In and out of the sea, pool, sand covered, you name it, this watch passes the test.
What struck me on unboxing, was how clear the contrast was from the yellow hands to the black dial. It's quite striking, and the clarity of the time viewing is great. You keep wanting to look at it. It works in all conditions.
I was keen of DETRASH after coming across them on YouTube and then sold on them as a brand, due to their values and what they want to achieve.
The team have created a really nice product.

Superb! I got my Likemania before a trip to India when looking for a sturdy and affordable watch. Could not recommend it enough! Sadly the movement inside (not Detrash's 'property') had a fault, but Guy was quick to honour the warranty and kept me aware of how the repair was getting on. Just got it back yesterday couldn't be happier! A fantastic brand, doing the right thing for both the planet, and their customers, and I do genuinely wish them all the best. Just wish I could justify getting the 'Blue Steel' so shortly after getting this back. I'll definitely watch on from the sidelines with intrigue and will certainly be back!
I bought this watch with countless recommendations and was blown away by the quality and value for money. Having the constant reminder of the positive impacts of the planet is an incredible bonus on the British made awesome watch. I will be recommending this to all watch enthusiasts I encounter.
Say Detrash watches on an on line article and I questioned the quality given the low price point! I couldn’t be more wrong. Great day to day watch. Looks good on. Nice size on the wrist and I’ve got many compliments from watch guys at work about it.

I recently bought a Detrash watch, attracted initially by the fact that all/a percentage of the proceeds go to 'Surfers against sewage' (being an ex-surfer), but also by the innovative idea of producing a small number of high quality, uniquely designed watches from trash! I do not regret it, and what you get is a watch designed and made with the future of our planet in mind as it's made almost 100% from recycled trash (bar the great Seiko automatic movement), is a one-off in design terms, and feels and looks great on your wrist! It's the way forward for those of you looking for somethinng different, so go on, get one bought!
Love the concept of this watch company - turning scrap into something functional and beautiful - so I bought the Likemania.
Have to say, I love it. Just the right side of chunky and 'industrial' without being too big. It's refined with some lovely detailing. I can't fault it.
Simple, elegant and understated, but with enough heft and weight to catch the eye.

Detrash Cali Blue, my new favourite watch. From the moment that i discovered the brand I fell in love with the mission of the company and of the watch. I was skepitical of the quality of the watch when i first saw it thinking that for the price and quality it was too good to be true, but, upon receiving the watch my expectations were absolutely blown away. A great watch with a comfortable strap and constantly reminding and inspiring me of the future of the planet. I will be recommending this watch to every watch lover i come across. 10/10
Why I started Detrash
"Detrash is a passion project. I love watches, but find most of them boring, and the ones that are even vaguely fun can be eye wateringly expensive (£200k - over £1m for a Richard Mille with a smiley face!).
In 2023 I sold my first business and this gave me some time to look at watches properly. The main thing that amazed me was that unlike FMCG (my last business) very few companies are even trying to do anything ethical. It feels like every other industry is switching to brands that care... like Patagonia, Sungod, Tony's Chocolonely, Method.
The watch world isn't even trying.
This is a massive shame, but together we can fix this"
