The "Cali - Melting Ice Cap Blue" is a dive watch with a textured, California dial featuring Cliff (our WWII pilot, surfer, globe mascot), an exhibition case back and polished case sides.
Its a 41mm dive watch made with 80% recycled steel, on an ocean-plastic strap, with a Seiko NH35 automatic movement, 200m water resistance and sapphire crystal (front and back). Each watch is limited to 100 individually numbered piece and at least 1% of turnover goes to help the planet.

Never change the date on any mechanical watch between 9pm and 3am.
This is when the mechanism is changing the date. If you desperately need to change the date at that time of day, change the time on your watch to 6:30 first, then set the date, then set the time again.
Note: Unscrew the crown to get to 'normal position'. Screw back in after adjustment/winding.
1.How to set the time
1) Pull out the crown to the second click position.
2) Turn the crown to set hour and minute hands. (Check that AM / PM is set correctly)
3) Push the crown back into the normal position.
2.How to set the Date & Time difference
1) Pull out the crown to the first click position.
2) Turn the crown to left for date setting.
3) Push the crown back into the normal position.
3.To wind up the mainspring
a) Manual winding (Rotate the crown clockwise at normal position) Fully wound up by turning the crown minimum 55 times. It will start to move naturally after shaking slightly.

International orders have free shipping. You are responsible for all local customs charges, taxes etc.
Orders will be shipped within approximately 3 days.
US/ Canada orders have histprically taken about 3-4 weeks to arrive.
For returns; first contact detrash@detrash.com to make us aware of the return. Returns must be sent within 14 days of receipt and must be returned exactly as they were sent, unworn, with all stickers in place.

Lovely stylish watch that I had no problem justifying due to the company’s environmental friendly ethos. Was slightly nervous whilst awaiting delivery as I’d never seen one in real life, however pleasantly surprised as it was actually nicer than expected and fits great. Absolutely love my Detrash watch. I have a collection of Tissot watches and this watch stands up to those in quality and looks. It has an expensive feel about it. Very fast delivery too. Hoping to add another Detrash very soon.
You think the photos are good, but the Likemania pops on the wrist. The detail and clean lines are noteworthy. You get the feel of your first big league watch again. This could be from any of those less environmentally savvy players and would be way more than Guy’s asking price…and you know it is supporting the planet. The next watch designs look good too.
The watch arrives in minimalist packaging, with a soft pouch to protect it. Love the detail on the ice blue face, contrasting with the clean numerals. The bezel is nice and tight and has a great click as you rotate. The clear caseback is also a nice addition. The strap is very comfy and robust. Most importantly -love the brand. Guy- I wish you all the best in your imporant watch venture.
I first found out about Detrash when I saw an advert on Instagram, the "Player One" Space Invaders themed watch! This spoke to my inner ten year old, and I needed to know more! Upon checking the company out, I found out that their watches are made from 80% recycled steel, the straps made from recycled #Tide ocean plastic, the packaging made from recycled cardboard and offcuts from materials used in the fashion industry, and that they favoured the Seiko NH movement for all of their watches, plus it's water resistant up to 200 metres! On top of all this, they donate a percentage of each sale to eco charities, Surfers Against Sewage being their latest partners. What was there not to like?! Great looking watch designs built in small batches of 100, using recycled materials with a bullet proof watch movement AND they care about sharing the message of protecting the planet and seas from pollution? Win win! So I had to wait until the batch of Player One watches were made available and I was lucky enough to buy one! I instantly fell in love with it when it arrived, it's a great addition to my collection!
So then when I found out about the upcoming release of a brand new design I was eager to see what Guy had created, the Au.M.G.! Again, made in the same way as previous models, only this time, there were only 10 out of the 100 available until the model is officially launched later this year. I HAD TO HAVE ONE! FOMO was very real! I got straight on to the website and ordered myself one, a nice little treat to myself!
Delivery was incredibly fast, I had the watch three days later! The PVD Gold coated case has a satin aesthetic to it, twist your wrist and the finely polished surface shimmers in the light. The dark blue of the dial sits perfectly against the brass hands, to me it just screams quality, a nice comfortable weight to it too! The blue strap compliments the dial and feels so soft against the skin, you'd be hard pressed to believe it was made from recycled ocean plastic! Considering the darker colour of the dial, the lume shines nice and brightly making reading the time in low light or the dark very easy! The exhibition / transparent case back shows off the Seiko NH movement ticking away and of course its Limited Edition number is engraved into the case back along with the proud "Made with trash" statement, a reminder that great things can be created from rubbish and pollution when it's been properly thought out and designed! I am so happy with my purchase, it's a fantastic watch!
I think Guy's stance and ethics should be applauded, it can't be easy attempting to launch a watch brand in a world of massive companies, but I think the eco friendly business practice and the messages behind it should be celebrated! I suppose some of the designs may not be for everybody, but I understand Guy's continually looking to create new designs and maintaining the use of recycled materials to make them, my bank account might not like it, but I love my Detrash watches!
Ordered a limited detrash watch. Received a day later. Got my detrash 1 of 10 and it looks awesome. Its chunky and maybe too heavy as a go to every day watch: that said for wearing for an occasion its pucker looks fantastic The bezel is knurled and moves with a satisfying ratchety click. The crown is sturdy and was easy to set. The blue lume is lush. This is a blokes timepiece. Very happy cheers Guy.
I have had the Blue Steel for just over a week and couldn't be happier. The watch looks amazing (even better than in the photo's), feels great to wear and at a price that is remarkably low. Over and above all of this, I love the ethos of the brand. Cannot recommend highly enough and I am sure I will be buying another Detrash watch soon!!

"Detrash is a passion project. I love watches, but find most of them boring, and the ones that are even vaguely fun can be eye wateringly expensive (£200k - over £1m for a Richard Mille with a smiley face!). In 2023 I sold my first business and this gave me some time to look at watches properly. The main thing that amazed me was that unlike FMCG (my last business) very few companies are even trying to do anything ethical. It feels like every other industry is switching to have more of a purpose and do some good in the world, and the watch world isn't even trying.
